What am I working on?

I recently visited Goa, and while strolling along the beach I collected a beautiful seashells. I love doing that. I am thinking of making a small painting with it of the ocean.

What am I watching/watched recently?

Hoppers. How can I miss a Pixar movie? I grabbed a good seat, settled in with cheese popcorn, and enjoyed this feel‑good film. At its heart, the movie explores environmentalism through the story of Mabel, a young girl determined to make a difference. What goes on is a heartwarming journey of how she attempts to save the glade, that is so dear to her, from being destroyed due to the upcoming bridge construction. A delightful watch, especially for families with kids.

New thing I learnt lately?

While waiting at a restaurant, I began wondering how such places manage capacity. That’s when I came across queueing theory — a fascinating mathematical framework that explains exactly how it works. It studies the arrival rate, which represents how frequently customers arrive, and the service rate, which reflects how quickly they can be served. In the case of restaurants, the number of tables also factors in, helping calculate overall utilization. Research shows that once utilization crosses about 85%, operations can become strained, often leading to bottlenecks and even panic in service delivery.
