Mini Comic: #1 Seashells

I was twenty when I went to a beach 

For the first time; 

Half the age of my Mother, 

Who also went to a beach 

For the first time 

Along with me. 

Our eyes widened at the vast blueness

We let our feet be dipped in the cool water;

Then jumped and ran, splashing the waves.

We scorched the warm sand looking for seashells;

And collected a total of twenty three. 

Girls will be girls.
