She Got Flowers Today

She got flowers today.
It is 13th August 1996. As she blinked her eyes open, the world unfolded before her in a haze of light and unfamiliar faces. But among these unfamiliar faces, a man stood out – his eyes brimming with joy, joy that knows no bounds, and he is holding a bouquet of flowers. Lillies. White lilies.
In that moment, as the delicate fragrance of the flowers filled the air, it seemed as though time itself paused to witness the silent exchange between father and daughter.

She got flowers today.
It is 14th February 2014. Her doorbell rings and there is a parcel in her name. It is a bouquet with some chocolates. Roses. Red roses.
Of course, he has sent it. With a smile playing on her lips and a flutter in her heart, she embraced the sweetness of this moment.

She got flowers today.
It is 7th April 2016. Her mother gets a warm cup of hot chocolate for her as she lays in her bed. There is a bouquet of sunflowers on the tray. Yellow sunflowers.
It hasn’t been a good week. Somethings don’t last forever. But with her mother's unwavering support and the healing power of time, she knows that she will find her smile again, and her heart will eventually mend.

She got flowers today.
It is 28th September 2021. She is looking at herself at the mirror as she holds a bouquet of peonies in her hand. Peach peonies.
She is about to walk down the aisle in the next 10 minutes. Her heart is racing, she senses a mix of anticipation and overwhelming joy. But above all, she's filled with love—for her partner, for her family and friends, and for the future they will build together.

She got flowers today.
It is 28th September 2031. She gets a bouquet of Orchids. Purple orchids.
From her husband; her companion, her confidant, her pillar of support. There is a note, and it reads: “Ten years of love, laughter, and shared dreams. Each moment of our lives is precious to me, however mundane it can be. There is no one I would do life with apart from you. Here's to a decade of growing together, facing challenges hand in hand, and cherishing every heartbeat. Happy 10th anniversary, my dearest." A drop of tear glisten at the corner of her eye.

She got flowers today.
It is 9th May 2038. She is busy on a call at work. She seems frustrated at the recent turn of events at office regarding one of her projects. Her kids come up to her, blindfold her and talk her to the living room. They remove the blindfold, and she sees a lovely cake with a bouquet of carnations kept beside it. Pink carnations.
They wish her in unison; Happy Mothers’ day to the best mom in the world. With tears of joy and a heart full of love, she embraces the moment, cherishing the precious gift of motherhood and the beautiful souls she's brought into the world.

She got flowers today.
It is 24th October 2070. She receives a bouquet of Chrysanthemums. White Chrysanthemums.
From her husband and her kids. It has been a year since she passed away. They miss her. Her bright smile, her kind words, and her warm hug. Her ability to find the goodness in everything and to keep them together as a family without even trying.
She will always be loved and remembered.
